Is Los Angeles downtown a good area to move in?

Hello, I 'm planning to move to Los? Angels and I are as a singer? I thought in moving towards the city center in one of those large buildings near the skyscrapers. I 've heard that much about the town center is not certain but I don' t know if it is true. I want to be in accidents? But also n? N safe. I think I prefer downtown to Santa F? Nica. it is unclear
