There are a few good places to go in the midwest. Frankenmuth in Michigan is wonderful. It’s all decked out in Christmas decorations and has some really good bargains on personalized things. The bavarian lodge is where we stayed. It has 2 huge indoor pools, gameroom and a restauant all within the hotel.

If you like amusement parks Cedar Point is awsome! My husband and I go by ourselves then we take the kids on a seperate trip. Nice hotels right there at the park. If you like roller coasters it’s the place to go.

Rock N Roll hall of Fame in Cleveland is a lot of fun too.

Why don’t you travel some of the scenic Mississippi byway road and maybe travel from say Red Wing MN (the coolest town in MN) through Iowa or something like that. There is usually quite a bit to do in the river towns.
    Have fun.
