What parts of Los Angeles are safe and relatively inexpensive to live?

Planning on moving to Los Angeles for the first time and wants to be in a good, fun area. I 'm in my 20' early; s, not in college and gay.

    I think West Hollywood fits your profile pretty well (young in early 20s, gay…). It’s not ridiculously expensive, but it’s not cheap either. But it’s a nice part of Los Angeles, and fun.

    Nothing is expensive in the LA area. But for your profile, West Hollywood would probably be your best bet. There is a large gay/lesbian/transgender population in West Hollywood, along with a number of stores to accomidate (mainly on Santa Monica Blvd.) There are a number of nightclubs in West Hollywood or very close by that cater to gays (Check the LA Weekly, available for free in many locations including The Pleasure Chest @ 7733 Santa Monica Blvd.) Hope this helps.

    For about 1200 in the airport etc for couple of hundred less but if you can live in south redondo beach close to commute and not too safe check out craigslist ps we dont care about you want to commute and.
    The beach which is relatively nice area other than that you mean by inexpensive you can live in the valley van nuys etc for couple of hundred less but you want to west hollywoodthats where its happenin good luck.
