a; all RE agents need to get [pass] RE salesperson (qualified) classes. [some firms offer internet classes for obtaining RE classes
to quality a person to take the state test. DO NOT take
for initial courses, internet classes. YOU need a classroom
where you can ask many questions!
Calif I think requires 45 credits in specific RE classes.
check out Calif's RE commissioner web site.
b; after studying the RE classes [very difficult] one then needs to pass the school test and then, one is eligible to take the state test.
IT is harder yet.
AFTER you pass that test, you apply for your license.
Next, you need to make another decision;
“hang” your license with EITHER a 100% office [where you
do not split your commission with your broker] where the
broker charges you a monthly fee……..or
accept a split commission office.
To sell a BH home can take you [after you have your license]
from 3 mo to 3 yrs. There are at least 5 real estate firms who
specialize in the BH area.
And lastly, you need to decide if you wanna be a listing agent who
also finds buyers and become a dual agent; [soon to be outlawed but still legal with disclosure] or solely rep buyers.
luck to you.
keep in the mind the word FIDUCIARY!!!!
